Scope mounts

I have a new Savage 10 and no scope or mounts. I can't have scope blocks for a Lyman STS scope put on this rifle, because the barrel can and will come off. I'd like to put Weaver mounts on the action, then put on the WEAVER TO BLOCKS adapter, and use one of my Lyman STS scopes. Unfortunately, the WEAVER TO BLOCKS adapter hasn't been made yet. It would attach to the Weaver mounts, maybe just the front mount, have a scope block just in front of the front Weaver mount, have a second scope block 7.2" o/c ahead of the rear block. I'm thinking a screw down, just behind the front block, touching the barrel.
I can get scope blocks from Steve Earle.
I think that guys like me, with Lyman STS, Unertl, Fecker, Litschert scopes, would be happy to pay for such an adapter.
Is one of you machinists interested?
