Does anyone know of a mold similar to the Dixie Slugs 600 grain.
I think he's a member here and I'm sure not trying to sidestep them, but according to their site, they don't sell components.

This is the beast:

As far as a big-bore solid slug mold is concerned there are a couple options:

You could have Brooks cut you a mold like my man's:

I ordered a pair of twin 12ga. slug molds from Brooks Moulds a few weeks back and they just showed up today. Both molds have an identical cavity cut. One is a base pore solid slug and the other is a hollow base foster style mold with two seperate hollow base pins one of which makes a hollow base that is 1/2 the length of the slug deep and the other 2/3 of the slug length deep. The just showed up today with test castings in 30:1 alloy included. Took the calipers and micro-meter to the test castings and all looks good !!!!

Or you could get a mold like appleseedgunsmith's from Old West Bullet Molds:

the mold was made by old west molds. cases are 2 7/8" long. cast 30:1

In addition NEI offers a couple molds that could work as 12ga. slugs:

The main problem with those molds is that they all cast a little bit too big --- that's fine if your going to cast yours from pure lead but WW hardness would not be very good at all with the oversize NEI molds. Good for pure lead slugs but that's about it.

Either way don't make the same mistake appleseedgunsmith did and put your eye too close to the scope with a big boomer load in the tube.

Well, I see that my GF has already found this thread and given you a few options as to where to get a 12ga. solid slug mold from. She forgot one other possibility. Rapine Moulds sells two different 12ga. slug molds that are HB molds not solids; one is a 550gr. and the other is a 600gr. full-bore 12ga. slug mold. As of current Mr. Rapine is semi-retired and only sells his molds through one select retailer in limited quantities, namely CH-4D a custom reloading die company. Here are some links for you:

CH-4D home page = http://www.ch4d.com/
CH-4D's Rapine Mould page = http://www.ch4d.com/catalog/?p=88

My original full-bore solid slug mold was a Rapine #730550 mold that I had two replacement HB pins custom cut by a private machinist for. I didn't like the HB pin in the mold as it came it made the skirt too thin for the HB castings and I wanted a second pin anyway that just plugged the hole at the bottom of he mold so it would cast solid slugs with just a slight indent in the bottom, like so:

Long story short either of the Rapine slug molds "as is" or modified to cast solid or cast with a thicker sturdier skirt portion may suit your needs as well. Be warned, however, the Rapine molds are aluminum molds and as such if your cast and load a lot of slugs they are not a life-time investment. I wore mine out and that's why I ended up purchasing replacement molds from Brooks that were IRON.

Also, I might be pushing the forum rules slightly as far as buying/selling, and if so moderators feel free to edit this portion of my post. But if you’re interested in buying slugs straight up and not just a mold I do maintain a store inventory over at Reloaders Auction that includes several heavy full-bore slugs from my molds:
