I have two 94 Classics. One long barrel and one carbine. Oct. barrels and forearm caps. Can someone tell me how to take the forearm off these rifles? Where is the best place to find original stocks and forearms for these rifles? Thanks Malvin

It's been a while, but if you remove the magazine plug retaining screw (bottom of the mag. tube) wiggle the mag. plug loose, watching that the mag. spring doesn't fly out, then drive the pin from the mag. tube holder(?) that's about 3 inches behind the mag. plug, then you can unscrew the two screws holding the metal forearm cap, slide the cap off, and the forearm can then be removed. Be careful, without the mag. tube inside the forearm, it's easy to crack the forearm. I've seen walnut forearms and stocks for sale at Brownells and Midway, but they aren't always in stock.
