I would like to thank every one for all the helpfull info. I was great to melt down some wheel weights and instead of sorting out the zink i melted real low and when the zink floated to the top I know what i had and yes it does make a different sound when droped on concreat and the cut with wire cutter well lack of a cut thanks for all your help

..................Save the zinc. It's a comodity just like lead, or gold :-) Besides, yuo might want to cast some zinc boolits one of these days.

Someone in another thread said he was going to cast the zinc into round balls and use them for his slingshot. No a bad idea really if you or a buddy have one of those wrist rockets..
