Any thoughts on the recipe?

for more informed response I would need to know the weight of the charge and the gauge and vintage of the shotgun in which you plan to shoot these loads.

NO !!! NO !!! STOP !!!

Steel shot requires special wads. If you load that combination (specifically steel shot in the AA wads) your going to damage your guns barrel !!!!

You should be able to find yourself a receipe that uses all the other components EXCEPT the wad. Find a good steel shot receipe that uses your components except for the wad and then buy the correct special steel shot wad to go with that receipe. I'll check what load data I have for steel shot and if I have a receipe that will work I'll post again later.

And yes --- I need to know the guage as well at least --- I'm assuming 12ga. until informed otherwise.

Okay, I found a load for you --- not easy --- there isn't very many Steel shot loads that use HS-6:

Hull = Federal Gold Medal (My research indicates FGM data can be used for their cheapo paper base wad hulls safely)

Powder = HS-6

Powder Charge = 24.0 grains

Primer = FED 209A

Shot Charge = 1oz. of Steel shot

Wad Column = B.P. Ranger Plus wad, 14.0 grains B.P. #47 buffer, 20ga. 0.030" overshot card over shot and inside wad

Velocity = 1,225fps

Pressure (FGM) = 10,900 psi (should be slightly lower for cheapo paper base wad Fed. hulls)

So to load this load you will need to buy the following additional components:

B.P. Ranger Plus Wads (http://www.ballisticproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=3221202) (hot link - click to open)

B.P. #47 Buffer (http://www.ballisticproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MIX47) (hot link - click to open)

20ga. 0.030" Overshot Cards (http://www.ballisticproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=OS) (hot link - click to open)

Fed 209A Primers (buy these at your local shop - no need to pay hazmat shipping)

With this load your pretty much stuck buying some of your components from B.P. unfortionatly. I personally would have no problem substituting Precision Reloadings Spherical Buffer for any buffer made by B.P. (superior product) and you can obtain a superior product at a reduced cost by ordering any kind of overshot, nitro-card, felt, cork, fiber, etc. wads from www.circlefly.com instead of B.P. but if your have to order the wads from B.P. you mize well just get the other two items from them too and combine shipping.
