Hi folks,

I am delighted to say that I cast my first boolits this weekend!
They all loaded and fired quite nicely from my pistols.

I used lee moulds ( 9mm and .358), and the boolits all dropped free with just a couple of taps on the moulds.

I'm planning to load for my rifles next. Before I start buying molds, I need to know how I plan to install gas checks.

I bought 3 of the Lee sizing dies that work just peachy in my little RCBS press.

Will a similar die work for seating gas checks on a .308 rifle boolit?

Or do I gotta fork out cash for a dedicated lube-sizer with top punches?

I have a tiny reloading area proper. I do the messy stuff out in the barn: tumbling and casting. I prefer to keep it small and work on a single stage press.

Thanks,

Yes, the Lee push throughs will seat GC's just fine in any caliber. The Lubrisizers are nice because you can use a "better" grade lube, but they are no more accurate than the Lee system.
