Wheel weights in Trapdoors thought I'd try this venue as well!

Any of you cast from wheel weights for your Trapdoors?

I'm having so much fun with my 314299 I want to switch right over to my 405 HB and 500 gr molds and keep right on going.

I always use straight lead for those molds....

The older guns like the trapdoor mine included tend to like the lead a little softer like 50/50 WWs and soft lead but it doesn't hurt to try.

I have shot thousands of bullets through 45-70 cast from WW mostly air cooled. They work fine but I use Lead tin alloy for target matches and hunting as I get better accuracy. The difference is not much but it helps especially in my head. Before I started using pure lead tin alloys I used a mix of three to one pure lead to WW for target and hunting and that works well too.
