Did any one ever get a Redding die set for the Swiss? I don't know where that thread went too we had on this a while back. I talked to a fellow that said he had the redding die set and that it was made for the K31 and worked better than the others that are availble, <over working the brass>.
Has any one got one of the Lee collets to try for these? Curious as to how that worked too.
Thanks
Jeff

I have a Redding neck size die series C and so far I haven’t notice any problems with it after three reloads using .284 Win brass. Previously I used a Lee collets for a 6.5x55 but I observed some indentations marks around the neck area that I was not pleased with and quit using it.

I have been using the Lee 7.5 x 55 Swiss collet dies. I have no complaints with these dies.

I've been using the Lee collet dies in both 7.5 Swiss and 30-06 with no problems. My original batch of Graf 7.5 Swiss brass has been reloaded 18 times with no damage or failures. I've only trimmed the brass once since original case prep but then again my loads are running 1400-1500 fps. Lee stuff works for me.

that would be me...
and i still say THE correct die for k-31 is the reddding die...period.
the 1911 is a different , but close fit.
using anything but a redding/k31 will over work the brass.
with cast boolit loads this may not be an issue, but the current load in my gun is a 135 berger at 3000fps......brass life is an issue.....

Does that mean that you've got a set of Lee dies for 6.5x55 you're looking to rid yourself of????

Ok. Reloading police here. Send all offensive dies, with attachments, etc. to me to carefully examine until such time as they wear out from usage. Report will follow.....:drinks:
