Gentlemen;

I have one of these rifles and I'm trying to disassemble it so as to work on the bedding.

My trouble is that I can't get it apart.

I've gotten the upper handguard off, the butt stock off and the trigger guard off but I can't see how to remove the forestock short of destroying it in the process.

If someone could post me what must be a simple procedure I'll be ever so grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Forrest

If you have the both bands, both handguards and trigger guard off (2 screws) there is nothing else to hold it on. It does need to slide straight down so it doesn't bind on the receiver socket. It could be stuck on with cosmoline. If it is warm it up and apply preasure at both ends and work straight down, just be gentle and don't force things.

If the rifle has the trigger conversion there will be a screw crossways at the back of the forestock that needs to be removed, it would also have been remarked.
