I may yet to have figured out how to get cast 9mm to work but my cast bullets in my 30-30 are tack drivers. I am loading 170 grain flat point cast from a lee mold, lubed by dipping in alox and loaded over 28 grains of accurate 2520. This my friends is a great load for a winchester 30-30.:bigsmyl2:

I get good results with Lyman's version the 311041. I have had a hair over 1" fifty yard 5 shot groups. A little trigger work and it would probably be just under !"

It is my sons rifle and he is in the service so I don't shoot it without him.
He is leaving Iraq tomorrow, headed for Kuwait, and back in the states on the 11th.
Thank God!! Mom is relieved and so am I.

I think all our soldiers need a pat on the back. They have done a hell of a good job.

I use the Lyman #311041 in my 30-30s with 24.5 gr of IMR 3031 and it shoots well.

Thank God is right. I'm glad he is coming home safe. My grandson spent a year in Iraq with the Airborne and now he's fighting in Afganistan. I just want them alll home safe.
