Another project I'm working on. Two .357 bullets from one .223 case. I had some 6x35 brass so I used it. Michael beet me to this project but they sure turn out good. Alot of work though reducing the case at least once or in this case twice.

I was able to further neck down the 6mm to get the brass to roll over the base of the bullet. The 223 brass should work even better. Maybe reduce it to 17 cal first.

Anyway I have a 180 grain JHP next to a 130 grain JHP. Now I just need a firarm that shoots 357.

Will hopfully have some testing results soon.

Good shooting

Those are pretty!

If you find you have excess 357 bullets, I'll happily get rid of them at high velocity for you.

Are your dies and press top secret or can you show some pics?[smilie=1: (It's fine if they are - they are yours!):-)

nice job on the bullets. Are the dies homemade? The Hollowpoint looks uniform wnd should get the program done. I would like to see some shot and checked retained weight,

Redding Big Boss press ( rockchucker and lee clasic cast iron I'm sure would work good too)with longer cheater arm and CH dies with modified internial parts. No big secerets. I'll post some pics. There is posted pics of recover bullets from my 44s. 90+% retained weight is common. Still waiting for someone to shoot something other then paper. When it happens I'll be sure and let every one know.

So late it is early over here. More later.

Posted pic before but got some intrest again. Here is my modified Redding Big Boss press I use to swage bullets with. The ram is the week link here as it is a really soft metal and certainly would benifit from a better design.

30-06 case pictured for compare.

Good shooting,

BT

BT, What are you using to size the 223 cases down to go into your 357 die? They start out around .375 (already perfect for anyone wanting to make 357 bullets). I have a reducing die that can do this, but it pushes through quite hard.
