I have a Lyman mold # 410610. I bought it to use in my Marlin 1894PG in 41 MAG.
But I'm having a gascheck problem .
I've tried the Hornady 416 checks and they don't want to seat correctly. Is the Gator check that Mountain Molds sells an appropriate size for this mold. I'd rather use a gas check bullet in this rifle then a PB.

Any help is appreciated :(

I have the same mold. It is designed for the Lyman .41 check and the Hornady won't fit right. Gator does make a replacement for the now discontinued Lyman. Make sure you get the .410, not the .416.

7BR has some experience with this problem, so maybe he will "check in". I have annealed Hornady .416 checks and opened them using a 1" ball bearing and a tap from a hammer. They will fit after you do that. Also getting ready to try some Hornady .44 checks. They snap easily onto a shank for the Lyman .41 check, but I haven't sized them yet. I think there was another thread recently where someone else mentioned this. Do a search.
