Hey Buckshot!! Martini Help!!!

Definitely not your regular run of the mill martini. What shape is the bore in?. Frank

................Well! That one looks like it's made a few trips out into the bush. Nifty rear sight. Missing the longest range leaf, looks like.

In addition to the lever pivoting on it, between the arms of the lever there is a cocking finger and sear, with the finger retracting the striker. In the photo it looks like the end of the rod is there? Is it that the cocking indicator is broken off the right side or is the entire rod actually missing?

Buckshot , whole pin/ indicator is missing including screw that holds it in. Sight leaves go up to 700 yards and the last one is some type of ladder. Bore is pretty good and should be a shooter. I need to read up on your success for makeing 577/450 ammo and maybe get you to amke me a set of loading tools. Later, JAP

You'll have to register to post but that's no big. They have a Martini forum and also a wanted-buy-sell forum like we do here. Also, they might be able to point you in the direction of someone who has the part(s) you're looking for.

I could make one, but I suspect you might like it before the end of the year? I'm pretty sure that case hardened hot rolled steel would work just fine for it. We're going to be having 2 room additions done to the house and I'll be doing a lot of the work, so spare time will be scarce for awile.

The thing is simple to make and you could easily do it with a file if you had one to go by. Just 3 sets of flats to file in, but the flats have to be in the correct relationship or angle to each other

I had a local dealer here who had stripped one down for the parts, I helped him sort out his parts etc last year and I believe I saw those parts in the parts bin.

Unfortunately he moved state; returns regularly to this area; I could try him and see if he still has it. Alternatively, I could pull one out of one of mine, take some photo's, do some drawings and pm you. Let me know. Bigjohn.
