As a bowling pin load, I just used an old H&G mould that made beautiful 230 grain WC for 357 magnums. I loaded them in 38 special brass, and powered it with 6.4 grains of Blue Dot standard small primer.
Not a very hot load, but it knocked the bowling pins right off the table if I did my part. I used a gp-100 4 inch.
Once upon a time, I believe this was a very popular pin load.
Does anyone have any other loads for the 230 grain WC?

I used to use 3.5 gr of 700X with a Lyman 358627 in 38 spl cases for pins. It was a really mild loads that impressed the pins to no end.
What is the H&G mould number for that heavy bullet ?

Thank you for the information and photo !
If possible I would like to buy a dozen or so of your bullets to test ?
This looks like a great bullet to consider for a GROUP BUY ! :) :)

As long as I am not avalanched with requests - let me know where, and I will mail a dozen to you.
The mould is available from Ballisticast I suppose. I have also seen them available by some of the professional casters.
I did size them to .357.

My pin slug is a Mountain Molds custom, 215 grain truncated cone that was designed for both revolver and Marlin (1894c). 10gr of A9 lets the pins know what's what!
It's a fun shooter.
