45/70 gas checks

got my rcbs handles today(thanks woody) going to order a rcbs mould from midway.which gas check is better lyman or hornady.

Its my understanding that Hornady makes all of Lymans gas checks . And usually Hornady are cheaper , so thats what I usually buy [smilie=1:

Lymans er slip on's Hornady's er crimp on.....both werk but the best ones er Gator check's from the group buy sized fer .458 steada .452 like the Hornady's n Lyman's....

so will the hornadys work if they are .452???

yep....they werk....just don't fit as good as the Gator .458's....used em alot before these came along.

Never tried Lyman's, not available up here, but the Hornady's work fine
