Does anyone make a flat top punch for the Lyman sizer? I've got a ballisti-cast .500 Linebaugh 450 grain Keith mold that I can't find a top punch to work. It would also be useful to have a flat punch for my .45.

Could I take a top punch and use some sort of filler to make a flat punch? If so, what could I ues as a filler?

do a search here for top punches, someone has a thread showing how they make their own top punches with jb weld or other epoxy.

They do make a flat top punch, I have one. Like uncle joe said just use epoxy. Since you are going flat it should be real easy. Fill in the top punch and usea flat bullet coated with grease or something to keep it from sticking and put it up to the punch until it dries or use something flat. Souldn't be too hard to make up something either. The Lyman # is 344 if that's what your're looking for and I use it allot since I shoot allot of SWC's and WC's.

Lyman still makes a flat top punch. I can't remember the number but recently bought one. Cost about $13 as I recall. Give them a call if you're not inclined to make your own.

I take 5/16" machine bolts and turn them down to fit in an electric drill with a file. My poor man's lathe.

Work really good and I can make what I want./beagle
