I was making up a batch of Barry Darr's lube and in the process of finding a crayon and lining the pie pan with bullets I forgot to put the STP oil treatment in the mix.
Will it be OK without it or should I add it in the next time I melt it ? Do I need to melt the lube out of the 100+ bullets that are now lubed without the STP ?
BTW these will be low velocity pistol rounds.
I'd shoot them, and chalk it up to experience and move on.............
Might just work without it...

It works fine without it. I found the lube to be too soft and added 2:1 paraffin to vaseline and I have shot it to 1450 in a 7.5 inch 44 mag and as low as 750 with 38 wadcutters.

+1 on this, when I remelt mine I am going to add more wax. It is definitely to soft as made by the book, specially in a garage that is 80F.

Sturgell, I took your advice and recommend it to Nate and anyone else making this lube, go 2:1 on the paraffin. This made it a whole lot easier to work with at least for a pan lube.
