Anyone try 820 in their beowulf yet? I see a couple of H110 loads on the internet, and one #9 load at 33 grains under the 335 bullet. I have a couple jugs, and the beowulf is a hungry critter!:D

to be honest i havent had the greatest luck with even 110 in the beo. It seems to like a bit slower powders. My best loads have been with 1680/680 and re7, if you use 820 in a case that big id be sure to use a cci350 to light it off or you could have problems buring it at low pressures.

Thanks Lloyd, is 1680 and 680 the same? Also can you suggest a starting and max for the 680- I have a couple pounds of that also.

Thanks

i use 47 grains of 1680 with a 335 as my max load id start at about 43 and work up. I about allways use cci 350s for primers. Re7 is another good powder in it especially if you want to shoot a bit heavier cast bullet. 680 and 1680 are the same but lot numbers can effect burning rates of both of the quite a bit. Where the heck are you getting 335s? ive had them backordered on midway for months!

Thanks Lloyd, I don't have any 335s- that was just a load I read about on the web. I did load a 300 gr Rainer with 38 grs of lil gun and it certainly did go bang! Didn't shoot paper or anything though. Got some speer 350 uni-core soft points to try next for my hog load.
