Just loads to a blank page. Page is done loading, just nothing there.

Anybody else seeing this as well?

It had a few problems this morning, but should be fully up and running right now?

Nope, still doesn't work for me. Must be some screwy setting on my end. I'll check into it.

Does the "Today" page work for you? If it does, what exactly are you searching for?

Well I was looking for the remote and the search function couldn't find it either. :(

Search doesnt work for me?
This is what I get on a blank page?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/search.php on line 1011

The Meaning of Life. I think it's still thinking about it. :coffee:

But really. The "today" page works fine, everything else works great, but any time I try to search for anything, all I get is a blank page. Well, until now, now I get

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/search.php on line 1011

I mean, its progress, but not the kind I was looking for.

I assume others must be using Firefox as well, I can't imagine the browser is doing it. Besides, the search used to work fine for me, nothing's changed really. I'll keep poking away at it.

Tho its a tad reassuring to see at least one other person having as much trouble with it as me, at least its not just in my head. :veryconfu

Ok, this is going to sound crazy, but the search function DOES work, but only if there's a number in it somewhere. That may not be it, but everytime I search for a caliber, it does fine. A string of words, blank page.

EDIT: I take it back, I can figure out what the hell makes the thing work or not work.

OK, I should have taken care of that:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted
Error.

This is all I get.

http://castboolits.gunloads.com/search.php?do=process

However, that is searching for "Lee perfect powder measure", it what set me off on this whole adventure.

"Lee Powder Measure" doesn't work. "Lee powder" doesn't work. However, "44 special" "45 auto rim" "rossi lever" a myriad of other terms worked.

"Perfect Powder Measure" yielded

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/search.php on line 1012

Something to do with the search terms or parameters? Its frustrating.

Somebody else bang on it with some of this stuff and see if it works for you or if its just my machine.

Worked for me for "Rossi .44"

Well, I have to agree with you. I tried your search parameters exactly as you listed them - Lee perfect powder measure, Lee Powder Measure and Lee powder, both with quotes and without since some search engines require quotes in order to search on a phrase - and I got precisely what you are experiencing, specifically a blank page. Oh, with the exception of the last search term - Lee powder - which gave me a blank page with the following error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/search.php on line 1011.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox and this is the first time I've had such a problem with the search engine on this site. Hope a few other users try these same terms to see if this is only a problem for the two of us or if it's a problem with the new server.

I had to up a PHP memory limit to 64MB in order to get it to work.. I've tested it and it seems to be working now.. Try it again and let me know.

I'm having a different problem and would guess it is in my "puker 'puter" but would like some help. I keep getting the "Golden Goose" page when I click the "Cast boolits" link at the top of the page. If I close IE and restart it, I come back to the "Cast Boolit" homepage. Any idea for me to try?

It may have something to do with a www. in the URL address. Check and see if it has a www when it works or don't.

Okay, Gunload Master, you solved the problem! Searches on all the previously mentioned words and phrases now produce the appropriate output. Good work!

Hey, success! Thanks GM, nicely ferreted out. So just too much for it to digest the way it was set? Or too many results?

Gunload Master
08-23-2009, 09:19 PM
Most likely a combination of both, when you do a search it has to search through about 600,000 posts. I may end up changing that to not search so far back, but right now I like the idea of searching through everything.
