Have tried to drift the front sight of my mosins with brass rod and hammer, and I might as well have been spitting into the wind. They are really tight, amd maybe even soldered in--------! So seek advise on how you adjusted your front sight for windage on your mosin, or on where I can find an appropriate tool to do same. I even soaked the front sight in Kroil for a couple of days and couldn't budge it by the way. Thanks in advance for all who respond to this thread!

I bought this guy Stan's Mosin front sight tool years ago to avoid hitting my front sight with a hammer and drift. I'm afraid its been a while since I fired my Mosin's so I haven't tried this tool yet. Not sure if this will move your frozen sight or not.

I have one and it works great.
Wish it worked on guns other than Mosins.

I'm gonna have to get me one of these as I've all but given up the notion of moving my M44's front sight.

Dang! I asked him about the 1891/59 and the M39 Finn, but forgot all about the M44 and M38.

I have one on the way. $20.00 and 3 for mail, and look forward to getting and using. Stan replied to my e-mail within hours, and sounds like a real good guy.
