Jeff in NZ, I know you've got one of these molds, and I'm interested in hearing your experience with loading this boolit in the 303 British. If anyone else here is loading this round with this boolit, I'd appreciate and load data you could share, as there is an almost non-existant supply of data for this weight of boolit (at least in my searches). I'd like to find a good non-mousefart load and make a bunch of ammo for my two Savage Enfields. I really want to stretch their legs with this boolit. I've got a Fatter 30 mold, but the rounds are hanging up in the magazine, so another projectile is needed. If anyone wants to purchase my 6-cavity Fatter 30 mold, it's for sale @ $50. Barely used; I've casted maybe a couple hundred boolits with it. Thanks for all the help lended guys.

Respectfully,

Kevin

Hi Kevin.

I don't have the 315 318 but I did do the initial testing for Jim and had to return the mould

It cast at .316 in WW so is well suited to the .303 and MN rifles.

I would have thought that 218gr was a bit heavy for a 'mouse fart' loud though. I shoot a 311008 over 6gr Unique for 1200fps in my SMLE for a 'gallery' load.

That not withstanding if you want a good bullet for your rifles you will not go past the 315 218 to be sure. I load its lil bro over 20gr H4227 for 1600fps and 41gr H4350 for 2000fps. Both give superb accuracy though the top end requires harden WW.

I wanted a good, full house load with the 218 grainer, thereby making it a non-mousefart load. Something with some umph to it. When you refer to its little brother, are you talking about the 313-215? I always use WQWW when I use a full=power load for my rifles. Thanks again, Jeff. I apologize for calling you out on the ownership of said mold. I knew you had experience with it; I think it's great that Jim lets you R&D mold designs for him.

My mistake. NON mouse fart. Right. H4350 will see you right. Shoot 'em as cast at .316, FAT.

Yes, I have the 313 215.

Jim doesn't have time to test his moulds and I do and live 10 minutes from my range. It's not beer and skittles though as it is hard to give back some moulds.

Beer and Skittles; that's one I haven't heard before! Thanks for the chuckle, Jeff!
