Things being as they are with ammunition availability, it's getting to where if I want someone to shoot with, I have to load for some of my shooting friends. My Smith 'L' Frame slugs at .357 so I am sizing at .358.
There is no way I am going to do custom work for every gun they have. The question is what is the min and max that I can get away with as far as other bore sizes.
I assume that there would be no danger with the normal range of .38 and .357 barrel sizes. Worst case would be a little leading or some falling off of accuracy if everyone used .358 and it wasn't perfect?

When it comes to 38s/357s I have never had a problem shooting boolits sized to 358. I shoot a Ruger, my friend shoots a Colt, and my grandma shoots a S&W. 358 diameter boolits shoot accurately with no leading out of all three. In general when it comes to cast boolits and diameter, bigger is better. 358 should be fine for the majority of 38s/357s.

That has been my experience, also.

I'm in the same boat, loading for my buddies if I want to shoot with them. I load tons of .358" boolits for the .38s and .357 Magnums, both rifle and pistol and haven't had any problems with the boolit size, only with lubes. Everyone has good luck with Alox stick lubed boolits but hates the smoke and smell. Currently working on FWFL to hopefully fix that.

Unless you have a really weird gun in the bunch, I can't imagine that you'd have any trouble sizing to .358" for everyone (aside from the possible leading or accuracy issues you've mentioned), even if someone has a .356" bore, no harm should come, especially in revolvers.
