I would like some thoughts on the best way to make your own grips for my Ruger SuperBlackhawk Bisley?

I found some Purple Heart wood that I think would look different on my Stainless Ruger. And I am not really happy with the stock glued together wood grips it comes with.

Thank You for any information. :)

Thank You so much for the Link :bigsmyl2: :cbpour:

It talks about escutcheons for the screw where would you get those? Or do you just make them?

Brownells sell them with screws.

Well to be honest I would not need anything right now from Brownells so I think it would be a bit expensive to just purchase a screw with escutcheons lol. But I could be wrong?

So I will just make my own.

They come in a bag of six I think and they send small items in an envelope.

A set I made for my brothers BFR .475. Re-used an old screw and escutcheon from on old set of grips. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh83/dubber123/IMG_2539.jpg
