Ok the return address is a Canadian one and the name at the top is Peter Dawson from ON.

there was a check but no invoice or even anything written to say WHAT was ordered.

I hope to hear from the person soon. I'd hate for them to miss out on what they wanted.

Pull out a canadian phone book, and give him a shout? If nothing else you could always write him a letter to get him to send you more info.
