I finally found some large and small rifle primers!!!! Not the brand I'm used to, but they were on the shelf. $40.00 and $35.00 a brick! Last time I purchased primers they were $14.99/1,000. Still have another 2 bricks on back order with an on-line outfit.

My primer ship made port, this afternoon. Not as many as I would like, but as many as I can afford.

My boat came in about four weeks ago. The wait was seven weeks. Good thing they came in. I was getting real low.

Happened to be at the local Sheels this a.m. when one of the sales clerks wheeled out a cart of primers. Was able to get 2K of Rem Large Rifle (standard) for 29.95 each, and am appreciative of that. Have enough LR on hand now to hopefully get me thru the Obama term of Office. Son in law got a couple of thousand at Cabellas last week for I believe $32.00 a thousand. Anyhow, looks like there will be primers available in limited quantity, but the price will stay in the $30.00 bracket in this area.

I don;t know where you have been looking. Buffalo Guncenter has had sr, sp, lr and lp right along.

Sure, they are a little more than last year, but they still had them....

That's not bad. I just paid 3.49 per hundred. 400 limit. For Remington. At least I can go back for more tomarrow....

For anyone in east-central IL or west-central IN: I stopped by Chuck's Guns in Georgetown, IL yesterday and he had both Federal and CCI...all sizes...in stock at $35.00/K. (Every other shop I've checked in this area has been asking $42-$50/K for Federals.)

I think they are getting more available, but not to the levels we would like. You really have to shop around now to find some.

I'm ok, except for some for my Garand (CCI #34) they aren't exactly common. Some sales reps don't even know what they are.

Went to gun show Sunday and found small rifle primers, $173.00/5000. Two years ago got the same for $120.00. Who says no inflation?

I found some 209's for 175/5k at the gun show this past weekend. Lot of tables had them out for 50/k. I was glad to find what I did.

That's pretty steep, but I know folks will pay if they want them bad enough.

At last weekends gunshow a lot of primers and 380 auto ammo was present for a change. The shortage is about over, so if you folks can hang on awhile you will be rewarded with plenty of available primers at more reasonable prices.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to pay 50/k for primers, 175 was bad enough for 5k of the 209's but I needed them - time to load for doves & rabbits. I'm more used to 130 or so for 5k of 209's and 95/5k for rifle & pistol.

just bought a brick of Winchester LR primers for $34.00....most stores are getting more primers and powder but at higher prices.

In my area, one of the local chain stores received a huge shipment of Remington primers and distributed them throughout the chain. Most of the stores were limiting them to 400 per person per day. They've had them for about a week and they're still bringing some out from their back rooms in some sizes.

Other stores have been receiving limited supplies of CCI's. I've noticed the price per hundred or per K has increased about 12 to 14%.

All components including brass and other necessities are trickling in with the exception of some desirable powders. I've been able to buy IMR4227 and 2400 but no Unique, H110, H4831, H4350, WW296 or 231 I commonly use...

There is light at the end of the tunnel!!

Anyone in the Lexington KY area know of any available SR primers? We still seem to be in a drought in this area.
