i got some solder yesterday that i planned to use as a source of tin, its 95% tin, but i found out today that it contains 4.93% copper, is that bad? the balance is selinium, is that bad too?

thanks,

It will float to the top and mostly just end up in the dross.

By the time the solder is alloyd down to a decent boolet blend the copper will be a non issue. Keep your eyes open for scrap babbit as well. High speed babbit has similar amounts of Cu. Grab all you can get. It won't spoil.
