I have a Lee Turret Press (4 holer) that I bought several months ago. I also got 3 extra turrets. Until today I've only used Lee dies. I am very satisfied with this press and have loaded probably a thousand .44 Mag rounds, plus a couple hundred .38/.357. Today I started to load some 45 ACP with my Hornady dies. Long story short, won't work. Well, sorta. The lock rings are too large in diameter and hit the ring on the die in the hole next to it. Die mounting holes are too close together for use with Hornady, RCBS and Pacific (only dies besides Lee that I own). Not an insurmountable problem, I'll just use Lee lockrings (I've got plenty). And when I have access to a lathe I can make some custom lock rings.

That's good information mdi...Thanks!

I guess I need to do some grinding on rings.

I use the 1 inch lock rings from Dillon, They also have them in 5 packs without the wrench.

I ran into that same problem. I just ordered Forster cross bolt locking rings as they're on sale at Midway for 2.99. Are the Dillon rings cross bolt or set screw style?
