I have an original 1893 saddle ring carbine and want to buy a mould. This rifle slugs at 0.322.
I am only paper punching out to 200 yards on the odd occasion. Its a fun gun!
Will get an off the shelf mould,Lyman,RCBS or Saeco 165 gn.
What do these moulds drop at diameter wise?
I may also get the Lee 190gn 8mm mould and single load.Nice pointy boolit should be good at the longer range.
What say you guys?
Cheers,
Tony

My RCBS 32-170 FN drops .321 from one cavity and .323 from the other. I size to .321 for a .3195 groove barrel on my Marlin 1893. I did not know the mold cast different from each cavity until you posted your question and I checked my bullets. I may sort by cavity and see if I can find a little better accuracy. The bullet shoots and functions fine in both my Marlin 32 Special rifles.

..............I'd get the Saeco #632. I have it and the 732 but the #632 @ 165 grs would be what your M94 would probably do the best using. The #732 is a 200gr slug. Both are tapered designs and both of them drop a slug just over .323" on the base using 2x PB + 1 WW for about 7-8 BHN. My scheutzen rifle likes 14.5grs or IMR4198.
