Well I got my Lee sizing dies for my 45-70 they are .454 & .457 . I intend on lapping the dies to .456 & .459 . I size my 30-30 boolits to .308 2 wraps of tracing paper then size to .311 I figure the .003 difference in sizing would work in the 45-70 also. My Question is whats the best way to lap the sizing dies. I have read some post on this a while back but can't find them now . Any other advice on PP the 45-70 welcome. Gun:Marlin 1895 CB
Boolit : RCBS 405 Gr GC

Thanks

I cast my 45-70 bullets .451, patch them with 16# printer paper and lube and size those to .460 in a .459 Lee die. I lap my dies with 320 grit emery cloth on a split rod with a drill. I finish with crocus cloth.
