I was loading some light .32 long for my wife when I noticed some .312 150 grain cast spire points I have on hand to experiment with my .303 british.

Hmmm............

Yup, they fit just fine. Shoot pretty nicely too!
Gotta play.... gotta play....

Ever tried resizing the lyman 319247 for .303? Been wondering if that might work.

I've been sizing them to 0.314" in a LEE push thru for several years. They work fine for the large 30s and cast soft, sized and paper patched for the 32 special.

Back to the .32 S&W Long. Do you mind telling me the load information with the 150 gr bullet? Seating depth would be nice, too. That sounds "velly intellesting"

There was a story in either the cba newsletter or somewhere else (darned crs) that some schutzen shooters were loading 200gr 32 cal bullets using the 32-20 case. I do know that the saeco br bullet will fit the 32-20 case. Looks kinda cool. Frank

It was a near squib load of 2.5 grains unique with the bullet seated to the crimp groove. If I get a chance I'll meausre OAL and post it here.

Gave a good lesson on bullet weight vs pressure..........

That load with a 71 grain jacketed round nose didn't even push thecase enough to seal the chamber and just barely began to show primer set back. TOO low pressure! The same load with the 150 grain bullet showed good seal and perfectly normal primer seating.

I was trying to get close to .22lr recoil in this .32 Taurus for my wife. She has been afraid to do much of any shooting since Arthritis attacked her wrists. Understandable...........

The 32 S+W and 32 S+W Long are 2 of my favorite all around catridges. I really do have to make up a M-16 S+W out of parts that are availabe and finding a M-31 is on my list too. I have a Ruger 32 mag with the 9.5" barrel and a couple of rifles for 32 S+W/long. Great bumming around cartidge and vastly under appreciated. Same with the 32WCF.

The latest Shooting Times out has an article on the Colt 32 Long and the fellow test shot it with 32 S&W Long's. You may enjoy reading it.
