Ok got my NOE 360180 GB in the mail today. I got a 2C with one HP'ed.

It is awesome! A true piece of work!

I don't know where to begin to describe it.

I'll have to get some pics up tomorrow as my battery in the camera is charging at the moment.

The blocks line up TIGHT and I mean ZERO movement, the sprue plate is thick and well made, all the corners are dehorned and I don't mean by a grease monkey with a sanding disk either! Very well done!

The HP pin and the HP handle are absolutely positively awesomely well made and beautiful!

I got out my 20 power loupe and could not find any tooling marks on the cavity.

I cannot wait to cast with it tomorrow!

Definitely worth the $120 I paid for it!

They sure do nice work, don't they! I'm very pleased with the five cavity they made for me....I wish I had bought two of them. Now I need to send Lathesmith some yankee dollars for a .361 sizer die and see how the larger diameter does in my rifles...they feed smoothly in my unaltered MARLIN 1894 Cowboys.

I'd like to see this boolit scaled up to .434, with the same mould options. The only thing I'd change is to have them made from brass or iron....The group buy mould from OLD WEST BULLET MOULDS, the LYMAN 429352 clone, has become a favorite.

We now have three excellent suppliers for group buy moulds....NIGHT OWL ENTERPRISES plus MI-HEC and OLD WEST. What a luxury compared to awhile back!

Here are some pics
This is the Hollow point pin. You can adjust the depth you want the HP pin to set at in the handle. Just for grins I set it really deep and wound up casting some 155gr HP boolits.

Blammer,
How hard were the GC's to seat. I know someone was saying they were hard to seat. What lead mix are you using.

I have 35 cal Gator checks, and they snapped on perfectly!

I don't have any other type of GC to compare in 35 cal.

My alloy is just your basic WW's. nothing special.

and a target....

This is with my Winchester 94, converted to 360 DW (Dan Wesson)
15gr of Lilgun, and the NOE 175gr HP (175gr after lubed and checked)

Yea it's only 25 yds but that is 5 shots.

Looks like your quest for the perfect 360 boolit is over, if that is possible.

Nice shooting Blammer... I can't wait to get my 360180 NOE mould in the mail. Gotta love those big 35 cal holes, eh? I'm hoping my Marlin 1894c will be happy with the boolits.

And that would probably fall under the "Don't ask how I know" category..

So, not being able to stand it I just had to know how they would perform when I shot them into gallon jugs of water.

This is standard WW alloy, air cooled.

At 25 yds, I lined up 8 jugs of water.

The first jug was completely destroyed and tossed 8 ft to the right of the stand. The second jug was really split and beat up, third not so bad and the 4th held the boolit. Or at least what was left of it.

Here is a pic of the remaining 84gr's worth of boolit I recovered out of the last 3 jugs. The rest of the boolit fragments were probably in the first jug and lost.

That's looks rather violent! Did you get also get a FP cavity or FP pin? I wonder how the FP version would compare in the water jug test.

The flat point version in the water jug test, completely penetrated all 8 jugs of water and completly blew apart the first one.

Velocity is around 1800-1900 fps out of my 24" rifle brl.

Load it down to just over 1000 fps and see what it does. I'll bet you get a perfect mushroom.

jimd46902,
Looks like NOE has a couple extra molds (1 cavity - 3 cavity - 5 cavity) you can pick up in the vendor sponsor area under NOE.
