Works great for taking off bluing, almost instantly. Alot faster than that crap Casey-Beechwood sells.

You mean CLR?

Muriatic acid also works very well, and will remove rust at the same time. I've used this right before re-bluing.

The active ingredient is phosphoric acid.

Naval jelly takes it off in a heartbeat, it is fairly weak phosphoric acid and a touch of soap.
