For Bruce B and others with the big 416. This was from a customer yesterday. Thought some might be interested in his load. Boolit is the RCBS 350gn cast in WW BP method and quenched from the mold. Boolits tested bhn-22 the next day.

416 Rigby load, 350-grain flatnose gascheck bullet.
Please see the attached picture. I just returned from the range after
having tested loads using your .417" 350-grain flatnose gascheck bullet in a
CZ 416 Rigby. I tried 100 grains of AA8700, which produced 1950 FPS average
velocity, and shot reasonably well. I did experience a couple of hangfires
with this load.
However, upon upping the charge to 112 grains of AA8700, MV was 2100 FPS and
accuracy was outstanding! No hangfires, either.
I believe I have found an exceptional cast bullet load for this bruiser!!
