To cure my high shooting Pedersoli Sharps, I first tried a riser for the front. It was loose in the groove and I was unable to tighten it up. I looked in the gun pile, and found my Marlin 95 CB. While looking it over, I noticed it had a Lyman 17 at .494 height. I also noticed that the rear peep was adjusted way way up. So with a few hammer taps, I had me a new , higher front sight for the Sharps. It was a perfect fit in the groove. I took it out Friday, and shot it. With 405 gr Lee and 27 gr 5744, it's right on at 120 yds with the Soule about 1 turn off bottom. Now maybe the Pedresoli front, about .400 ht will work just as well on the Marlin.
