Anyone know about this mold? It's not listed in the Lee catalog.

Thanks,

Rick

Lee numbers are not very descriptive. What is it?

22 Six Cavity Bullet Mold 429-255-SWC New $ 50.00 90342

I have a very old 429-255-SWC plain based single cavity that is no longer cataloged. I pushed umpteen pounds of them through my old Flattop blackhawk in 44 mag. If'n that's the same boolit, it's a pretty good one.

The mold is a single cavity if that helps. Lee says it was last made in 2004. They don't have any idea of the caliber or weight.

Why not cast a bullet and mike it?

I would if I had the mold. It was an Ebone auction I was looking at. The mold finally sold for under $5.00.

In case anyone else is interested, Lee has these moulds listed as six-holers on their surplus page at $29.00. They showed 6 available. I just ordered one.

They often have some pretty cool things on their surplus/closeouts page. I got a great deal some time back on their now discontinued 429-215-1R six holer, which is a favorite of mine in the .44 Special and for plinking loads in the Magnum. It's handy to have visually distinctive boolits for light and heavy loads.
