Well, the groups were about 3" low at 25 yards vs. the FMJ loads but that's not the issue.

I loaded 5 and shot a group (did it 3 times). The third round of each five shot string would jam nose down in the magazine when the bolt began to push it forward. My first attempt at cast boolits was in my M1917 Eddystone.

Anyone else have a similar issue? What can be done about it? Should I switch to a heavier (longer) boolit? I'm using (can't remember the number - but they're about 180 grains with the gas check installed).

The other issue ain't with the loads. It's my eyes. Just struggle to see that teeny tiny little front sight blade in the shade of the firing line overhead cover. I think I'll take the M1 next time as it has a scope on it.

edited to add - bullet is the 311291. I'm not sure whether I can seat them farther out or not, or if that will even help.
