I've ordered a Shaver front sight for my Uberti Long Range. The present sight isn't high enough to give any leeway at 100 yards. The Shaver has the bubble included. I was thinking of seating it with a brass drift punch but am somewhat apprehensive of bubbaing up the level. I'm considering making a homemade press of some sorts in the manner of a pistol sight installation tool. Nonmarring of course. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Chris.

45shootr, I just changed the one on my hiwall to a shaver. This is'nt a push out push in thing. It took me about an hour & a half to fit the new one with a 3/8s dt to the existing one on the barrel. Loosen the set screw on the old one & it slips out, then the fun begins.
The level unscrews, so you can take the whole assy out. It does have nice directions with it. Have fun.
