Not having owned one before I purchased a Saeco powder measure on eprey earlier this evening. Unlike most I've seen this unit doesn't have a knocker (or a boss for same) and has a slightly different shape to the body casting. Two drop tubes and cylinders (one micrometer) are included as is the orignal box. The hopper also seems to be longer than most and has a red (plastic ?) cover. The seller claims the item to be NIB but the photo indicates at least the hopper has seen some use.

Does anybody know when this item was made and where I might locate original instructions or facsimilies? Any info or opinions on this item would be appreciated.

They were made from the early 1950 up through the mid 1960's. Do not have exact dates. Unfortunatly, neither do I have any instructions.
Yours has both the older and newer drums. The older one is in the measure and is a pain to adjust. The Saeco was a popular measure in iots time and works well yet today.
