Shot a handful of buck loads yesterday with 30gr. HS6 in Universal and AA hulls. Used a CB1114 wad with the pedals cut off and an over shot card to facilitate a better crimp. The scattered horizontally. Like a stripe on the cardboard. I am gonna try the same loading/hull type with the pedals left on. I was cutting them off because they were perforated badly by shot when I retrieved them. So I figured try them without the pedals. BTW I am shooting these through a Marlin 30in. Full choke bolt gun W/3 shot box mag. My plan is to work up a good load and leave it at my Dad's log cabin for a shooter. He currently has a .22 rifle, handgun and a .410 without shells there so I will leave this down there with some buck and birdshot loads. He frequently has deer walk through his back yard in the evenings. My wife and I often drink coffee and have desert with him down there so I can capitalize on the situation if it arises.
