These are my first cast boolits. Lee .45 colt 252grain SWC. They turned out pretty well for my first time.. 50/50 lead/wheel weights. Did 200. I'm still waitng for my Lee sizer and LLA.

Check the diameter. You may not have to size, just lube.

Good looking boolits by the way.

What are you going to buy next? You know it never stops!

Those look great! When you pull the trigger on your first cast boolit, it just gets better.

My first ones did not look that good. If they arn't too awful big just slap some Johnson's Paste wax on them and shoot them.

make a shrine to put them in and see if you get any better later on kind of like the first dollar a new store makes.

First cast, very nice looking boolits. Don't get a swelled head though. Your second cast may not come out as well. Just bringing you down to earth some. My first cast were, or seemed, perfect to me. My second cast was not quite as good although I thought I did everything the same. Don't get dismayed though if you have a problem with your next cast. You are already on the right track and it is an addiction. It's one thing to handload your own with store bought boolits but once you handload your own with your own cast boolits it's something else. When you put them down range, it's a great feeling.

Agree w/ big dale- add some JPW, stir, dry, shoot. Then make more. Repeat as needed.

Thanks for all your encouragement. Any success I have with my casting is due to this great forum and to all the accumulated knowledge that everyone makes available here. I know I will have my ups and downs casting, but I know I can always find a solution here to any problems . I am ADDICTED. Thanks guys.

Another pb junkie. At first it's just 50 a day then 100, then 500. IT NEVER STOPS!! Next thing you know you're doing rifle boolits!

Yep! And that's where the real frustation begins, at least in my experience. Lead in pistols worked good for me right off, but rifles, I'm still working on load development. Good looking boolits! I'm sure they will shoot great. Have you checked the groove diameter of your barrel so you know what they should be sized? (.001 to .002 over)
