What are you guys running for an OAL for this bullet in 45 ACP?

My gun usually feeds everything, but trying it out for the first time I had a few FTF's.

1.200. I let about 35 thou show above the case mouth

1.200 if it's the TL; 1.210 for the standard lube groove boolit. Seems to feed a bit more smoothly at 1.210 (although 1.200 causes no problems), but with the TL boolit 1.210 puts the case mouth (and crimp) in the center of the top micro-groove.

1.195. My pistol likes them a bit short.

OAL could have been part of you problem, but a FTF could also be a sign of an underpowered load. What was you load recipe? Primers, powder, brass, etc.

Federal brass, 5.7 W231, CCI mag primers, and my mold runs about 238 grains. It is a little past a mid range laod according to my manual.

I run Mixed brass, win Lp primer and 4.5gr. Bullseye.

FTF: failure to feed? failure to fire? failure to function?

I hope that you meant 4.7 grains. Hodgdon's 2007 manual lists the maximum 231 load for a 230 LRN as 5.3 gr. , and that's with standard primers (Fed. 150). With a TC, you'll have less case capacity (longer shank) than with a RN. I've used 5.3 of 231 with the Lee 230 TC (as an aside, both my molds drop 'em at 238 gr. as well), and yeah, I considered it the maximum load.
