Does anyone know anything about this Taurus Rifle?
I saw it on the Taurus website and it looks interesting.

Jeff Quinn of http://www.gunblast.com/Taurus_Thunderbolt.htm

It's a reproduction of the old Colt "Lightning" pump rifle made in the 1880s in 3 sizes: .22, the .38-40/.44-40 family and an "express" version for the 1876 Winchester cartridges - theirs is the middle one, and makes a nice new entry on the Cowboy sweepstakes.

Appears that several companies are are making reproductions of the Colt Lightning. American Western Arms is making one as well as Berretta is making the "gold rush". Intiresting "woods" rifles for us that would like to hunt with them esp. us south paws. The review of the Taurus is positve with reasonable accuracy though I dont know if I would feed it a steady diet of the hot(er) Corbon loads. I think Colt made these in 45-70 ;- ) !!!

The Taurus T-bolt doesn't come in 44-40 yet, only 45 Colt.
