I got some sights from Skinner sights , a front and rear for the 1894 and a front for the 336 . The set up for the 1894 took a little figeting and filing and I may have to do more adjusting if magnums don't hit close . But at least the parts are on the carbine and it only took a half box of ammo to get it close .
The 336 front sight was a bit easier , three shots and the windage drifted right in . The elevation was perfect .
I'm finding with my old eyes that it's easier to sight in if I don't have a lot of sunlight reflecting off the target . Thank you to those who suggested the Skinner sights , I think I'm gonna like them .
