Which direction ??

When removing the front sight of Marlin lever rifles and when looking at it from the buttstock of the rifle . Which direction do you drive the sight to remove it ? I'm thinking left to right but I'm not certain .

As you look at the sights, in shooting position:

Drive from the LEFT to make LOOSE,
and from the RIGHT to make TIGHT.
