Ruger No.1 conversion?

Has the Ruger No.1 action been successfully converted to 50-90 Sharps? If it has, is the conversion aesthetically pleasing? How difficult is the conversion? Does it matter significantly whether the basis No.1 action is rimless, or belted rimless, or rimmed?

I do not think that it can be loaded into the action as is. The rim diameter and body diameter may be bigger than the feeding trough in the number 1. As I recall a 45-70 feeds OK but anything bigger in diameter may require opening up the feeding trough in the action. This can be done but it is a job.

I think it might work, IIRC, SSK does a conversion based on a 50-"something" but using a modern 50 cal boattail bullet.
