I went to the Kittery Trading Post today and bought a two cavity H&G 48 mould today. It's a 158 grain, three grease groove, no crimp groove, flat base semi-wadcutter for the .38/.357. It cast at .362 with wheelweight metal. The cavities are perfect the outside needed a little work. Someone hit the sprue plate with a hammer and caused some minor damage to the leading edge of the plate. I little file work fixed that. The sprue plate stop screw has a missing head so it looks like a stop pin, that will be replaced. The set screw that keeps the stop screw from backing out is also missing. All very minor problems for the $15.00 that I paid for it. I cast about 400 boolits tonight with it and it cast like a dream, just open the mould and they just fall out.

No primers in stock though, not that I needed them, just thought that I would ask...Ray

Congratulations. Those old two cavity H&G's are like gold. Nice to know it's in the hands of someone who appreciates it and will treat it well.
