Has anyone had a sizing die that has cracked? I just got a new .501 sizing die from RCBS about 10 days ago and sized aboue 400 boolits. On a whim I decided to change lube type and cleaned the die off. I found that between the lube holes (2 stacked vertically 120deg. around the die) that cracks had formed. I was casting "soft" (bhn 12) boolits that measure .5018" as cast. So I don't think that the die sould have been overly stressed.
I called RCBS customer service and as usual got the recording. Called again and got recording that they were closed until monday.
I have never had this problem in over 30 years of casting boolits?
