manleyjt ask how the ejection pin worked with screw in dies in a later model swaging press.
the first pic shows the ejection pin taped to the swage press body in about the working area.
the second pic shows the later ted smith swaging press.

Larrys,

Your press looks like it is very similar to the corbin setup that originally came from Ted Smith. Does your press use the screw in dies? It looks like it does. The old press that I have does not use screw in dies and I was curious as I would like to find or make a set for the old press that I have. What you have in the pictures looks like I can use a similar die setup.

How much distance is there in the press opening on your press? What is the overall length of the die ( i.e with die removed how long is it)? What is the diameters and length of the die? how about the ejection pin? Sorry about the large number of questions.

After looking at it a bit, my press is just a little different than yours as the tie bars on mine are on the lower end of the casting.
