My children gave me a Rotometals Thermometer for Dad's Day and I was wondering
how I would go about using it. There are no brackets, no nothing, just the
thermometer so I would be interested in how you folks use yours.
I have a four quart cast iron dutch oven on top of a turkey fryer. Do you just put it
in the melt and leave it there? Do you just place it in the melt and remove it from
the melt by hand? Use some tool?
I see so much conflicting temperature settings stated when it comes to the temp
lead melts. Is there a definitive source for melting temperatures for different metals?
Thanks,
F
