Today I went to Rockville F&G in Rockville CT. for a bench rest match. The last time I was there was 2004 and shot one of my Remington 40X rifles in .223Rem with my brother and a friend of mine and his son. At that time all four of us used it and took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place with a new club record of .201" for 5 shot's at 100 yards. I have been teaching my friend Dave how to load and now he is interested in cast boolits also. I posted a thread in equipment about modifying my RCBS powder measure and the groups that I shot with it getting ready for this shoot today. Well you should have been there and heard all the comments about me shooting cast boolits. I am happy to say that my old record for five shots at 100 yards was .550" is now .305" and won the match with cast boolits but also the record for score was 181 was broken by me today also and is now 188-4x. My friend Dave took hunting rifle with a T/C Encore in 6mm BR with condom bullets, just a great day. PS. I am going to get one of the Cast Boolit's:drinks: shirts to wear next time.

Well done Doc. Sound's like you have reached the holy grail of accuracy. It is so refreshing to see. Not only is it hard to get the right combination with cast boolits and gun but to shoot under 1/2" in competition with anything is impressive.
congratulations again;:drinks:

I hate to even write this being as where that's a great group but I think it might be closer to the low 6s than the low 3s. Let me get to my bunker before the shells start flying.

It is .613" outside to outside minus boolit diameter .308" = .305"ctc. It was measured by three people and they were all within .001 in agreement. I just hope it is not a once in a life time thing. My next goal is to shoot a 1.5" at 300 yard's.

My mistake and you're absolutely correct. I had a case of mouth over riding brain on this one. The 100 yd IBS targets have 1/2 inch rings and I inputted 1 inch in the target scoring software. My apologies. Great shooting!!

Here's a link to some great free group measuring software. It's fun to play with.

Very nice!
I have a Saeco 315 mould on the way now, and this gives me hope.
